An Overview of Pancasila and Radicalism in Indonesia: A Bibliometric Analysis Using VOSviewer (2017–2022)

This study aims to examine the development of research regarding the theme of Pancasila as the national ideology and the phenomenon of radicalism threatening Indonesia. The study employs a bibliometric mapping analysis method using VOSviewer. Data collection involved articles published in journals indexed by Google Scholar, utilizing the keywords "ideology, Pancasila, and radicalism" within the Publish or Perish (PoP) application. The dataset covers the period from 2017 to 2022, comprising 348 identified articles. The results indicate an annual increase in research concerning Pancasila and radicalism. In the analysis, "Pancasila" falls into Cluster 2, with 29 total links, a total link strength of 294, and 147 occurrences; "radicalism" also falls into Cluster 2, with 20 total links, a total link strength of 189, and 120 occurrences. These findings suggest significant potential for further research into Pancasila and radicalism using alternative terms to introduce novelty. Furthermore, these topics should be contextualized within current circumstances to help minimize radicalism and ensure the continued internalization of Pancasila values within Indonesian society.
