Peer Review Process
All manuscripts submitted to the Journal of Social Transformation and Community Service must comply with the journal’s focus and scope as well as the author guidelines. Submitted manuscripts should demonstrate originality, scientific merit, practical relevance, and contribute significantly to the fields of social transformation, community empowerment, and community service. All submissions must be free from plagiarism and unethical publication practices. Authors are strongly encouraged to use plagiarism detection software prior to submission. The editorial team screens all manuscripts using plagiarism-checking software to ensure academic integrity.
Manuscripts submitted to the Journal of Social Transformation and Community Service undergo a rigorous Double-Blind Peer Review process, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed. Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two (2) independent expert reviewers with relevant expertise in the subject area. Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on originality, methodological rigor, clarity, relevance, contribution to knowledge, and practical implications for society and community development.
Based on the reviewers’ comments and recommendations, manuscripts may be:
-
Accepted without revision;
-
Accepted with minor revisions;
-
Returned for major revisions and resubmission;
-
Rejected.
Authors are expected to revise and resubmit their manuscripts within the timeframe specified by the editorial office. The revised manuscript will be evaluated to ensure that reviewer comments have been adequately addressed. Reviewers provide constructive feedback intended to improve the quality, clarity, and impact of the manuscript.
All manuscripts are treated as confidential documents throughout the review process. Editors, reviewers, and editorial staff are required to maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and must not disclose any information regarding the submission to unauthorized parties prior to publication.
The editorial team strives to provide authors with an initial decision or an explanation for any delay within approximately eight weeks of manuscript submission. The final decision regarding acceptance or rejection of a manuscript is made by the Editor-in-Chief, based on the recommendations of reviewers and the editorial evaluation.
Accepted articles are published according to the journal’s publication schedule. The order of publication is determined by the Editor-in-Chief, taking into consideration the date of acceptance, thematic relevance, editorial priorities, and the journal’s commitment to promoting diverse perspectives and contributions from various regions and communities worldwide.
