Neuro Leadership and Cognitive Immunity: Formulating Leadership Strategies to Counter Radicalism

Abstract

Radicalism in the digital era develops through the dissemination of information that takes advantage of people's cognitive vulnerabilities, especially in groups with low digital literacy and limited critical thinking skills. This condition requires the presence of a leadership strategy that is not only oriented towards social control, but also able to strengthen people's cognitive resilience. This study aims to analyze the role of Neuro Leadership in building social resilience, identify the cognitive vulnerability of society to radical narratives, and formulate a leadership strategy model based on Neuro Leadership and Cognitive Immunity to counter radicalism. The research uses a qualitative approach with a case study type. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed using the interactive model Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña. The results show that vulnerability to radical narratives is influenced by low digital literacy, dominance of emotional responses, and weak information verification capabilities. In addition, leadership based on empathy, persuasive communication, and social trust building has proven effective in strengthening community resilience. This research produced a Neuro Leadership–Cognitive Immunity model that integrates critical literacy, emotion regulation, strengthening social networks, and optimizing digital media. These findings contribute to the development of the study of leadership and the prevention of radicalism through a multidisciplinary approach that is adaptive to the challenges of the digital age.
