Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to the Journal of Advanced Intelligent Systems (JAIS) must conform to the journal's focus, scope, and author guidelines. Submitted manuscripts should present original research findings, methodological innovations, theoretical advancements, or practical applications that contribute significantly to the fields of Artificial Intelligence, Intelligent Systems, Data Science, and related technologies.

All submitted manuscripts must be free from plagiarism and other forms of academic misconduct. Authors are strongly encouraged to use plagiarism detection software prior to submission. The editorial office conducts similarity screening using plagiarism detection software to ensure the originality of manuscripts. Manuscripts with unacceptable levels of similarity will be rejected or returned to authors for correction before entering the review process.

Each manuscript that passes the initial editorial screening will be evaluated through a Double-Blind Peer Review process by at least two independent reviewers who possess expertise relevant to the manuscript's subject area. The identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed throughout the review process to ensure an objective and unbiased evaluation.

Reviewers are requested to assess the scientific quality, originality, methodological rigor, significance of findings, clarity of presentation, and relevance of the manuscript to the journal's scope. Based on reviewers' recommendations, manuscripts may be accepted, accepted with minor revisions, accepted with major revisions, or rejected. Reviewers are encouraged to provide constructive comments and suggestions to assist authors in improving their manuscripts.

Authors receiving revision requests are expected to submit their revised manuscripts within the specified timeframe. Minor revisions should generally be returned within two weeks, while major revisions should be submitted within four weeks. Revised manuscripts may be returned to the original reviewers for further evaluation when necessary.

The editorial team strives to complete the review process efficiently. Authors can generally expect an initial editorial decision within eight weeks of manuscript submission. However, the review period may vary depending on reviewer availability and the complexity of the manuscript.

All manuscripts under review are treated as confidential documents. Editors, reviewers, and editorial staff are required to maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and must not disclose any information regarding submissions to unauthorized parties. The journal adheres to the highest standards of publication ethics and follows internationally recognized principles of scholarly publishing.

The final decision regarding manuscript acceptance or rejection is made by the Editor-in-Chief based on the recommendations of reviewers and editors. Accepted articles will be scheduled for publication according to editorial considerations, including the date of acceptance, thematic relevance, issue planning, and the journal's commitment to maintaining a diverse international authorship.
